"Get that Portuguese bastard off my browser"

That's what my wife said to me today. Apparently she and at least one other New Yorker are thoroughly fed up with seeing the Loizou vignette day after day(referring to it as an article caused some not insignificant rage the other day, though I don't recall the identity of the enraged).

In the absence of anything to write because I'm still vacuously hungover following Roberto's shooting expedition stag party in the depths of the Essex Jungle yesterday, I'll just mention a couple of additions to the list of chums to the right.

Firstly, rounding off the New Yorkers who wish that I'd write more, TSF has taken it upon himself to lead by example and now has a proper blog, and to date it's pretty interesting.

Livid. Geek.
Following that, a mysterious gadget-collector and GIS chum who *isn't* Peter Batty has begun writing. I introduce to you the Livid Geek. Stealing some of my angry-dad thunder (but since I'm quiet at the moment what does it matter), but with added geekiscuity. He wrote a pop song once, you know.

And The Doc's perhaps predictably short-lived experiment, Niche Blog. If you think you can contribute to that, I bet I can get it a second chance...

Lastly, a proper reference to The Slot, a thoroughly fascinating, if not frequently updated collection of current tidbits and irritation from a copy editor at the Washington Post. I've read "Lapsing Into A Comma" and "The Elephants Of Style" (not that you'd know it, but hell, I'm not a copy editor and I'm too blotto most of the time to remember whether I've read something in his books or dreamt it).

In other news, Renos himself has since discovered real Portuguese Tramps in Soham and has done his best to drink all their booze and eat all their overcooked lobsters. For a while, I think he befriended them, but now I'm not so sure they aren't baying for his blood (he's been in London for 4 days now, which is something of a record for him and probably indicative of trouble).
