Wedding Photos

IMG_0331
Al Brown just warming up. Duck and cover, kiddies!
My photos from Phil and Katie's most excellent (Ted) wedding are up for all to see. Actually, I think there may be just a few more on the current roll (read SD card) to upload, particularly of Al dancing.

I've also snuck in a few more from my other rolls/cards (there's *still* one more to upload, I think). Part II and Part IV

Dim the lights, get the tea and biscuits

DSC_0391
View from Salina
Give grandpa his pipe, settle down in the armchair and get ready for the first slide... The first set of photos of the holiday are available at Flickr, also as a slide-show.

We had terrible weather, so some of the pictures are a little damp.

These photos cover the trip from staying in the suite built around Marshal Tito's office at Hotel Vila Bled (including old writing desks and such), through Florence and Rome to Sicily (Syracuse and Ortygia, Villa Madranova, and Capo Faro on the island of Salina). It's the first film of three not counting our secondary camera, so there's a lot more to come, auntie. There's more tea in the pot.

A month in Italy

In the absence of a honeymoon, this year's summer holiday was a bit of a splash-out. Convertible hard-top Merc, fine hotels, Florence, Rome, Amalfi Coast, Sicily, Croatia, and a random shit night on the south coast of Italy, right in the arch of the boot. Don't ever visit. It's a terrible place for about, oooh, 80 km. A kind of beaten up desertified Virginia Beach. But in desperation, music video saved the day as we waited for the A/C to reduce the temperature of the large but itchy room we had to settle for. But what a video (Quicktime download here).

It's a couple of years old now, but after a month of no internet I'm feeling rather trailing edge anyway.
